I've had my 5th round (out of 6) chemo and hormone therapies.
I've noticed my gland on left side of neck under chin gradually getting more swollen/painful each round. But it does settle after about 3 to 4 days.
However, this time I've lost my voice. My throat isn't particularly sore.
Has anyone else experienced similar?
Hi
I haven't had these symptoms but we all differ don't we so I would follow the usual advice and if temp up ring out of hours no. And get it checked out you don't necessarily have to feel ill to have infection.
If you haven't already I would let your unit know in morning anyway they may want to monitor you or be able to reassure you that it a SE and ok .

Hi I've only had 1 round of ec but I had something similar my neck felt hard and voice kept going creaky. Thickly cough, I just thought I had a but of a cold or from picc line insertion, but maybe it is a reaction. Mine went away after few days. Probably worth mentioning to team just to put your mind at rest x
H me again EC can give you cold like symptoms sneezing ,dry cough ,runny nose especially when going into a change of temp . Like a dripping rap !
I asked So how do I know if I've got a cold they answer sore throat and temp .
youre right best to ring team only once I had sore throats and even tho no temp I had to go get checked .
I had last EC yesterday no 6 at each cycle it has caused sinus attack at end of infusion . Headache ,runny sore eyes and full sinus . Lucky enough didn't stay right thru cycle .
