hi all
i had a mastectomy last Friday and am getting a red hot pain across my chest when I turn in bed or move a certain way Im doing the exercises and taking paracetamol and ibrupropen to help manage pain but it doesn’t seem to be helping. Am struggling with the pain a bit and feel a wuss. Is this normal?
hi
welcome to the breast group, sorry you've had to come and find us
I'd give the breast nurse a call with a view to getting the surgeon to have a look at you
surgery is complex
I had two surgery sites, the main mastectomy scar and the sentinel lymph node scar, which was tiny but way more painful, even so it had settled in a couple of days
if it's only when you move it might be a muscle that's been tweaked/ nicked/ caught ???
I had 'cording' which required specialist physio, so there's lots they can do.
