Cream I used during radiotherapy

Hello all,
I've just finished three weeks radiotherapy for early HER2+ breast cancer. I just thought I should pass on info about some cream I've been using before (has to be completely absorbed) and straight after the sessions, and after swimming or showering, and sometimes first thing in the morning or last thing at night. And I have hardly any change at all to my skin - very slightly more pink than the other, and no drying or burning of the skin at all. I probably can't use its name here, but it is organic oloe vera with almond oil.
Good luck all.
Also, while I'm here, I'm taking Letrozole and at first it made me feel sick and I was extremely stiff. When I started radiotherapy I made it part of my treatment to go straight for a swim afterwards, to keep my energy up. As a result, my stiffness has improved so much. You have to keep it up though, because last weekend I didn't swim, and by Monday morning I was starting to stiffen up again.
Anyway - that cream and a daily swim has maent I've sailed through this part of the treatment!

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community

Thanks very much for your recommendations, I sure the others in this group will find them useful.

That's great news as well that you've found ways to stop yourself feeling stiff and keeping your energy levels up.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Wishing you all the best
