Hi all,

Apologies I am not on here much but kindle has been playing up. I have also not Been well with side effects and appeared to have suffered more as treatment has gone on  but good news is I'm half way. I am also struggling with the worry of the side effects of the T part due to start 18th Dec. Is this normal. My 11year old son has also caught me crying when in pain and he wants to be with me all the time. He cries as well saying he does not like to see me like this. I try to hide it from him and continue to say that I have to have to this nasty medicine to make me better. So why am I feeling like this. Anyone else felt this way.

  • Oh so sorry your feeling so bad, I'm due to start me chemo on Friday so cant really advise re managing side effects . Are you following g the chemo thread for December?

If you haven't done so I would really recommend speaking to your sons school. I went and spoke to the headmistress who was amazing and spoke to the other teachers who needed to know whi will all be looking out for my daughter if shes upset ins school. She suggested using a "password" if uspest in class and can just say that word if she needs to leave without having to explain why. Sadly this is not uncommon she said and they have plans for how to handle things like this. I'd hope your school would be supportive and it might help a little bit?

Also I'm going to sign up with the local Macmillan centre because they do family support also. Do you have any family/ friends who can support you ?

Hope things improve for you soon xxxx
