Hello everyone, I hope you all coping with treatment.and feeling as well as you can.

I'm needing advice please, if any one can, as I'm at the end of my tether with feeling so nauseous on Docetaxel and being sick and boy it is so acidic!!

I dread each tummy churn, has anyone any advice please to aid my long days feeling so unwell  ?

Thank you in anticipation

Lizzie

    Hi

Could it be the other way around and it is acid reflux (too much acid) making you nauseous ? Being sick with Docetaxel can happen but is uncommon...

Have you tried Gaviscon or something similar to try and calm it down ?

    Just thinking aloud, G n' J

Thanks Dreamthief, appreciate your time in replying.

Perhaps it is me then...I was more sick on my previous Docetaxel session, and ended up being admitted to hospital with it, so this I have tried my anti-sickness med and Gaviscon to no avail and have now stopped eating and drinking plenty of water !

    Here's hoping xx

    Hi

Ooh Bugger!  You had better keep a close watch on this in case the same is happening :-/

Are you taking any other meds like Bisphosphonates as they can cause excess acid ?

    Hey G n' J

Nope I don't think so just the basic anti sickness and Omeprazole to help with acid xx

Hope it settles down overnight...  If not do ask for some help from onco or gp.

Always at the weekend too isn't it Disappointed

I’m so with you with the nausea thing. I’ve had mine changed once and they worked fabby. This time not so as I’ve had new meds added. But I phoned the help line tonight and we now have a new plan. Don’t suffer ... phone for help. It’s horrible x
