After right side mastectomy and reconstruction 18 months ago everything healed up well, but the reconstruction was only half the size of my original breast so i am very lop sided without a prosthesis in my bra. Every time i look in the mirror it is a reminder, so i am thinking of having plastic surgery to correct it. Has anyone else had this happen to them. And also do you worry about the cancer risk of the implant.

Hi
I had a left mastectomy and immediate implant reconstruction.
A month later it was necessary to reopen the same breast. So as I was having an unplanned anaesthetic I asked if I could have my right boon reduced and lifted.
This was done on Nhs and the results were amazing. I'm very happy I did this.
I do worry about detecting cancer now that I have an implant but I don't dwell I. It as there's nothing I can do about it.
Hope this helps
Much love
Sharon
