Hi guys

Had a wee episode yesterday afternoon ....

Had third chemo last Wed. Just finished dinner yesterday came over all hot and sweaty, seeing stars , really light headed and sick.  Didn't vomit.

Was wondering if it could be menopause type thing ?

I'm 48. Oncologist said  chemo might push me into menopause.

Happy Monday guys. Xxxxx

  • Hi

It could be a reaction to the chemo as it's unlikely to be a menopause symptom being lightheaded, seeing stars and feeling nauseous. I don't have much experience of chemo as I only needed radio, so I would suggest that if you are worried about it then call your team and get their advice.

    Kindest wishes,

Hi...I fainted in my back garden day 5 after 2nd chemo (FEC), while picking up dog poo! I started feeling the ground moving and managed to shout out as I fell. My neighbours called the paramedics and apparently I was unconscious for 15/20 minutes. The only thing they found at the hospital was that my blood counts had all dropped...blood pressure, ecg etc. were all normal (well normal for me as I have a known heart problem). I had many dizzy spells after this while on FEC chemo, didn't leave the house unaccompanied and stopped driving. but been fine on 2nd half of chemo (Paclitaxel).

I hope it doesn't become a recurring problem for you.

    Hi

Sorry to hear you fainted. I have light headed spells and only had 2 FEC so far. I am suffering with headaches at present and dread every session. I hope the 2nd half of treatment has less side effects.
