Hi , just wondering if you’ve looked through the posts in the travel insurance group.

where others are putting their recommendations.

  • When I thought I might avoid chemo I checked the cost with my usual company (Post Office), and is not much more than normal. I don't know your details, but it might be woth a look.

I was diagnosed in 2014. After surgery but before chemo we went to Paris for 4 days. A specialist insurance company charged  £40  which wasn't too bad. Exactly a year later after chemo and RT the same company for same 4 day trip to Paris wanted £400 abd this was just for me.  Needless to say I looked elsewhere.  We are going to new Zealand and Australia in January/February and the insurance has cost £320 for both of us

  • If you’re going to Europe only, try Eurotunnel, they like to quote over the phone as if you do it on line they think it’s for the tunnel. Only provisos are you are travelling with approval of your doctor and are not terminal.

Further away I would recommend www.insurancewith.com as they are not only competitive, but settle claims easily and swiftly too. Daughter has an annual policy with them now, (she travels widely for work as well as pleasure) found them really good. Again they like you to phone.

i had a policy with them from january2018 but for the price just renewed early
