Has anyone seen the story in the Daily Mail this morning? Having finished chemo and surgery mum decides to book a family holiday. As the only way it was affordable was to take the children out of school for 6 days. Not only did the school take the view that "the circumstances weren't exceptional " they sent the letter home with one of the children. The couple were fined more than £800 . On appeal the magistrates agreed with the school. I truly hope that none of these cold hearted people never have to go through what this family did.
