Hi I was just wondering if anyone else suffers with watery eyes while having chemo if so any advise
Yes this happens. Carry some tissue round with you. Should soon stop when your eyelashes come back after chemo.

Hi lucky3
yes I had watery eyes too , pharmacist said although my eyes were watering , my tears were of low quality and gave me Viscotears dry eye gel ( I know your eyes are wet but this gel is excellent) . This gel doesn’t leave a film over your eyes like some eye ointment. Lovely and cooling too. £2.99 at Boots .
Take care

Hi lucky3
For you at the moment it will be the lack of eyelashes causing the problem. However, I found that mine still watered once my eyelashes were back and I'd read that tamoxifen, as well as lingering effects of the chemo, could have an effect on your eyes. So I got a full check with the optician once my active treatment had finished. He did indeed diagnose dry eyes and I got a recurring prescription for an eye gel (Carbomer gel) that you put in last thing at night. It helps repair the surface of the eye. It's been slow - I'm a year on from end of treatment now - but much better. We also found that I had a few ingrowing eyelashes which were really irritating my eye as they grew back in. Who knew that could happen??! Optician plucked them out and fine since.
I think it's just a good health check tip to book in with the optician once your chemo is finished. I get checked every couple of years anyway as I work at a computer so had a good idea what my eyesight was like before chemo. It had deteriorated slightly but not enough to need glasses.
All the best
