I have bought evonail and started using it twice a day. I've bought some argan oil as advised and will take evonail off weekly and use this. I'd like to ask if I can also keep applying my vitamin e cuticle oil daily aswell, will it be ok on top of evonail? X

Hi, as far as I know argan oil is vitamin e oil so I dont think youd need to use both. I've been using Evonail daily and vit e cuticle oil...not removing the Evonail as soap and water washes it off anyway. I didn't buy argan oil as I have nut allergies and wasn't sure, regards, Fee x

  • Hi feemcg

I'm sure any routine that suits your nails and enables you to keep them is perfect but I only quoted the routine I was given by the beautician in the chemo unit because I followed it and it seemed to be successful.

I think,as you say, any oil would be good. I think she recommended argan oil because I was going to lose my hair and she also said to rub it in my scalp to stop that drying out. If you have a nut allergy obviously don't choose a nut one but for those who haven't.....the argan worked well. I didn't find the evo nail washed off and it was good to remove the layers once a week with acetone free remover. I guess because I was quite sick, I couldn't do a lot of household chores which involved water. Some days my son painted my finger and toe nails with the evo nail because I couldn't. Not everyone will hopefully have that degree of sickness......It wasn't nice but it was seriously more than most people can expect. It was just my Achilles heel!

So back to nails.....I'm just pleased you're keeping yours with what you're doing. I have seen others with very black and very painful nails because they decided ' to wait and see if.....' and that was certainly not a good idea.

Take care and good luck with your treatment and recovery.

    Love Karen
