just found out there is a shadow on the right lobe of my liver following CT scan. Now going for an MRI. Still waiting for the results of the lymph node clearance. Things just seem to be progressing so quickly and for the worse. Love and support very much needed right now x

    Hi @ HoneyWood

Just popping in to give you a gentle hug

It may seem overwhelming with no time to process one bit of news before being hit with another but at least your team are on it.

    Good luck, take care

  • Hi ,

Waiting is awful. I’m wishing you lots of luck. Pop into your local Macmillan unit if you have one, they are brilliant.

They can offer you lots of support, it’s worth a try.

Mine put me in touch with a local Holistic Therapy group, really helping me relax and process my thoughts.

Its taken me 9 months since my diagnosis to actually allow myself the time I need to heal.

    Gentle Hugs T x

  • Dearest ,

Well, what can I say to ease your thoughts, like we all know, in a way we have to handle these things in our own way.

I can say, you have to keep in mind 'you are being treated and looked after' - 'at least this has been picked up' - 'you could be worrying about nothing' - 'the liver is an amazing organ - one organ that can heal and repair itself' ....

Please keep all of these in mind, you are walking in shoes we all dread to try on. I believe 'gall stones' are located near/by the liver too.

3 months ago I had a blood test and the results came as a shock, I had the test taken in relation to Diabetes - well it came back with with high ALT's (alanine amintransferase), high GGT (y-Glutamul transferase) and lots of others, to say I was panicked is an understatement - and I am still worrying.  I changed my diet (a little, this doesn't need working on), I started 'walking' (before was doing 'no' exercise).  Apparently, this all points to a 'fatty liver'. Whilst changing my eating I noticed I was having pain never/in my liver and again was worried, but, too worried to go to the doctors.

More forward 5 months, I paid for a private blood test and these two particular readings are now in the 'normal' range and the pain has gone.  Although, other readings have now come back high (creatinine, sodium, chloride, uric acid*) - I am now going to try and see what/if I can do to help these.

*Uric acid, apparently can form around the joints - I can't help put think is this 'letrozole' related, my joints since talking this are getting more painful by the month (I'm going to try and see if there is anything I can take to reduce this).

Sorry I have waffled on, I guess what I am trying to say, is, there could be lots of various reasons and for this 'try, try' as you can to not drive yourself mad with wondering and worrying about all the 'what if's'.

We are all here for you - together we are stronger.

    Sending hugs xxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
