Hello, I’ve not posted for a while. Was three years ago in August that I was diagnosed. I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiotherapy then.
I've now noticed my breast has a dent, size of a thumb print. I went to see my BCN on Friday. She said it feels like there’s hard dense breast tissue, which wasn’t there before.
She’s booked me in to see my consultant and have an ultrasound. I had a mammogram in March which was normal. I’m having this at the next available appointment which is a week Wednesday.
I am worried my cancer has come back. Easy to say not to worry but ...
Jo
Hello Doesn't seem quite right to say welcome back, but can i say i'm glad you have come back to get support from us.
I'm sure there isn't anything anyone can say to make you stop worrying, but if you can try not to let it take away 2 weeks of your life thinking about what it might be. Could the dent be something thats happened because of your lumpectomy? or tissue that has healed and become more dense?
One good thing you have is that you had a mammogram in March so if it is anything it's in the very early stages.
Keep coming and talking to us, i feel like i'm telling you things you already know, but we will help you through this.
I will have my fingers crossed for you, please let us know how you get on xxx
