Just been diagnosed with breast cancer again after 14 years clear. My first cancer treatment was in 2001 & then again in 2005. The first time I underwent lumpectomy, chemo, & radio therapy, the second time Igot away with a lumpectomy, other breast. I am awaiting further test results but know I am facing at least a single mastectomy. I’m feeling very unsure about the future at the moment. Any tips?

  • That must be so upsetting for you Gail. Believe you can beat it again, as you have done before. All you can do is take it one step at a time and get through each stage before you start worrying about the next.

Mastectomy isn't that bad. I had a saved skin mastectomy and then a few months later (because of various problem but not failure of the implant) I had a full mastectomy by choice. Best decision ever and I am lopsided Lizzie with pride. I use a knitted knocker inside a preformed ordinary bra and it's impossible to tell when I'm dressed.

    Best of luck

    Lynn xx
