Hi I’ve been taken off from tamoxifen and been out into Exemestane. Looking for others who have taken it or take it to let me know how they’ve got on. I also have zoladex monthly. I’m 35 years old and had bc last April x
Bumping up the page , see if someone can help
Hi and welcome to the Mac online community.
I am sorry to see your question has not been answer this could be because the members of group have no knowledge or are not taking Exemestane
Can I point you to this Macmillan leaflet on the medication.
If you post any questions that you have on taking Exemestane on the Ask a Nurse page one of the specialist cancer nurses will answer any question you ask but can I ask that you give them 2 working days to respond but they will come back to you.
I hope you get on okay with this medication and the above information is of interest to you.
Ian
Bump again - can anyone help? The under 50's group don't appear to have anyone there to assist either.
Hello, have been 'hiding away' coming to terms late shock with all that's happened past year plus am on adult autistic spectrum so lots of stuff to juggle with but getting back to the question I am on Exemestane and its going ok :) better than the Letrozole which drove me crazy with a couple of major S/Es that went off the scale so hope you find one that suits you and it works out alright and can offer some advice which may depend on budgets at your GP's surgery and pharmacy - pause - I had a generic brand cos it was cheaper prescribed and it wasn't good so did some research when brain mist moment allowed and found a major supermarket chain with an in house pharmacy who could get me the 'real' original makers brand for the same price as the generic which was great it was a case of getting the GP to put that in writing another layer of stuff we don't want hassle with after the roller coaster ride which still continues but manageable just about! pause - am not sure if I can name brand names but if anyone else asks on this thread then will of course share if I get permission as I want to do things responsibly - pause - to you and to all the other ladies I send hugs across the miles gentle ones.
