Mamagram and ultra sound today shows highly likely I have breast cancer although the tell all will be biopsy results on Thursday.  Am absolutely terrified what happens next and how I keep myself on track.

  • Hi ,

What will happen if the biopsy proves to be cancer is that you will be treated quickly. Some people have immediate surgery and some have medication first.

The stage and grade of the cells determines your treatment. Mine was the easiest type and I only had lumpectomy followed by radiotherapy and tablets. Other ladies have more treatment.

What I can tell you is you will get through and life will be normal and nice again.

    Sending hugs

    Helen
  • The waiting is the worse.  Treatment varies according to diagnosis.  I had surgery and radiotherapy.  No meds .  I had a scare last year at year 3 mammogram when good boob biopsied but all was fine .
