I am new to this site but reading the messages you seem a caring friendly group

like I said to Janet I got my results and plan on Thursday I am a bit shell shocked at the minute

I am lucky and unlucky I am 73 and had my last ever mammogram in March that's when they picked it up

I have grade 3 its invasive and aggressive and positive for hormones and HER2. it's only small but its a busy little thing

I am having conserving surgery on 8th May then radiotherapy and because my health is not good he doesn't want me to have chemo he was talking about Herceptin and a hormone drug but by then I had lost the plot so I was pleased that my husband recorded it otherwise by the next day I would have forgotten most of what was said. Now I am trying to get my head around it all but we have to stay positive even though it's hard I guess its mountain climbing once again but I am determined to get to the top.

Hugs to you all

Shirley

Hiya lovely to meet although wish it had been under different circumstances. Love your positivity, we're all climbing that mountain and we will all help each other along the way, and we will all meet at the top.

Good Luck with the surgery, i've had 2 lumpectomies and a mastectomy so if you need to know anything give me a shout. One thing i will say is its not half as bad as you expect it to be.

Keep in touch and let us know how you're doing xx

Welcome to the group. I have just started chemo for second breast cancer, the first being in 2017. Haven't had any major problems with it yet although it's early days!

I had a lumpectomy last time but having a double mastectomy after chemo this time. I'm trying a bit of everything See no evil
