Hi

I have a question if someone can help please. I have quite a large lump on one breast. I thought it was pea size but GP said it’s much larger. I have an appointment at the breast clinic this Tuesday for the usual tests. I think I have 2 enlarged lymph nodes, one is just under the base of my scull, it’s a hard lump that doesn’t move, I have had this lump for a couple of years. I have another lump of my other side. This one is new, it’s quite large and it’s almost at the top of my vertebra. Does it sound like lymph nodes? Really not sure but will mention it when I go on Tuesday.

Many thanks for reading

  • Hello

I am no medical expert, I'm no expert at anything, well, other than procrastinating, I'm great at this.

What I am saying is, my following words are my own comments and thoughts, not a medical opinion....

You mention these lumps are located towards the 'base of your skull' - I am unsure if there are lymph nodes are based there and if there is, if they are related to BC.

I have a large lump either side of my skull at the base, just where the neck 'sort of joins' - I believe/think these are part of the make up of the skull, I have them on both sides and they have been there for many, many years - I think they are natural.

Also, when I had treatment there was never any mention or feeling the back/base of my skull.

I go on, the first place the Doctors and Nurses seem to examine relating to lymph nodes and BC are on the chest/breast area, towards 'under the arm pit' area and also the top of the chest/breast towards the neck area.

Definitely ask at your appointment, in the meantime, keep to what you know and try to stop your mind from wondering.

    Sending virtual hugs and.....

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
