Hello lovely people. I'm just wondering if anyone on here taking hormone inhibiters is taking a suppliment for their brain's protection, given that eostrogen protects the brain and we're depleting our bodies of that hormone. Or perhaps it doesn't make too much of a difference? I read that lack of eostrogen significantly increases our chances of alzheimers, but hoping not...

  • Hi Blot3 welcome to the forum.

I hadn't heard that before reading this on here so it's an interesting thing to hear about. I've not known anyone taking supplements to protect the brain and Im really not sure if it does make a difference or not.

There are often many stories about Breast Cancer and some of them make sense but some are just scaremongering but I'm not sure about this one. However by me answering your post this will bump it up the list and hopefully someone  may be able to help with further information. If not I wonder if you might like to post in the Ask a Nurse section as they may have more access to relevant research which may be available re your query.

Ask a Nurse Link I have included the link to ask a nurse for you and you need only press this link and it will take you right to this.

Sending very best wishes for now .xxxx

  • Wowwww - Thank you for posting this, not that I want it to be true, but... I suppose it does make sense, the tablets we take do take what is 'natural' to our bodies out of us.

Maybe, other 'Fruit Loops' on here might or heard or read something, or, could even offer suggestions that would help us to protect our brains...... I mean, we didn't get the name 'Fruit Loops' for nothing arrggghhh.

Really hoping others can help and offer suggestions xxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
