Hi I am new to this group I am a 60 year old female.
On the 20th March I went for a mammogram in our mobile unit, needless to say I have had these before and they have came back normal.
So I was shocked on Monday 25th I was asked to go to our nearest Macmillan unit for further investigations. The doctor told me I had calification in my right breast so wanted me to have more test to see if benign or not. I had another mammogram, ct scan and 2 core biopsies.
I would like to know after people have had these biopsies is it natural to still feel unwell and fatigued by end of 3rd day ? Also what experiences people have had and the outcome?
I get my results on Thursday which feels like ages away but is only 4 days now.
I'm very anxious and would just like to talk to others in a similar situation.
Thank you in advance
I was recalled after my first mammogram for same reason in May 2015. I had two areas of concern both calcification. One area benign other DCIS. I had surgery and radiotherapy. Unfortunately most on this site did get diagnosed as those that had good results tend to leave site so you will get a biased response xx.
Thanks Grogg for answering my post. Hopefully it's all benign but, i prefer to know both senarios. Xx

Thank you Ruby Rose
I was reading your battle which hasn't been easy. To be given that news was bad enough but to lose your mum in the middle of it all must have been devasting. I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my mum end of last June.
Can i ask was it califications that you had too? I'm praying all will be ok and staying as positve as possible. :) :)
Thank you and Good luck with everything . X
yes it was but unfortunately I also had a tiny DCIS which was only found in the labs . They knew it was there as I had cancer in a lymph node , the lymph node had shown in the mammogram , I was told about the suspicious node at my recall meeting .
Wishing you well and I’m sorry for the loss of your mum , yesterday being mother’s day was sad but full of happy memories . My sons spoiled me .
take care

Hi Ruby Rose
Thank you my mum had a long life and wouldn't have wanted her to suffer any more. So shes with my dad whom died 3 1/2 years prior. I love both my mum and dad but, mum and me shared great memories . Was very close to my family. She was just my wee diamond with a wicked sense of humour :) .
When i got my ct scan the woman said there was no lumps in my breast. What worried me was she also did under arm and said nothing about the lymph nodes.
Probably worrying unnecessarily . I will just pray alls ok.
That was lovely that your boys spoiled you. I got lovely flowers, nicnaks and clothes.
Love Angela x
Ruby Rose got my results today.
I have DCIS in right breast.
Have had pre op and have appiontment with surgeon on 16 April to discuss op and if i want reconstruction and which type.
Its a terrible shock but alot better than could have been.
Need to go to bed but , its the thoughts of waking up in middle of night and realising this isn't just a bad dream.
Good nite x
Hi Grogg
I have DCIS have to have breast and 2 lymph nodes removed for biopsy. All being well will need no other treatment.
Staying positive or head go all together. Still feeling veryy numb massive shock.
Take care x
Sorry to hear that. I take it you are having a mastectomy? Can I ask why they suggested this? Is it due to size?
