For some another gentle welcome to here and for others an equally gentle, caring welcome as you start chemo. The friendship and advice on this thread is second to none. You might bound your way through chemo like a Mad March Hare or limp your way like a wilting daffodil, but someone here will understand and be here with friendly and supportive words of advice.

The chemo thread is a great place to help support and advise each other during your sessions.

    Hi all,

I just popped on to say I’m done with chemo- last dose was 01March. Hard to believe it is done with, felt like it was going to drag on forever. I’m so tired, but not beaten down and now I have 2 weeks to recover before radiotherapy starts. Will celebrate when I feel up to it!

I want to thank you all for the advice and comaraderie- it’s been so valuable and has helped me through such a dark time.

I wish every one of you the smoothest path possible throughout your chemo and am sending every best wish and lots of very gentle hugs.

  • Hi

My chemo finished on 27th Feb. Trying to get over side effects for last time. Tiredness is the worst and can’t wait for the taste buds to return but it’s still a good feeling. Now to build myself up for surgery.  Found this thread really helpful during my treatment. Just wanted to wish good luck to everyone starting or continuing treatment this month.

    - well done on finishing chemo.  It is a nice feeliing isn't it?  Take it easy over the next few weeks.  I did it same order as you.  I am now 7 week post op and waiting to fully heal so i can start radiotherapy.  Good luck with your surgery.  But the hardest part done I think.

Many thanks for all the help and support, these forums are a life saver.

Best wishes to everyone who maybe starting this month and those continuing. Keep positive and keep posting!

  • Good luck to all either continuing on chemo or moving on to surgery/radio!

I'm half way through chemo just finished 3 EC and now will have 3 docetaxel, first cycle of it is due on 14th March.

Can't really put into words how much this forum helps me.

Big hugs to you all!  Kx

Hi Everyone on Docetaxol.  Just a quick heads up.  I had my last chemo session (3EC and 2 docetaxel) 15 weeks ago and today the toe nail on my right pinkie came off.  I think my others are going to be ok.  And it isn't sore.  So the fall out from chemo may carry on slightly longer than expected!

  • Thanks

Good to hear that you think chemo is hardest part as I’m very nervous about surgery.

Hoping you have a speedy healing process so you can get your radiotherapy completed.  Must be good to know your nearly there!
