But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Leg is still here with me and apparently vein that they checked is all clear, so I suspect I’ve somehow strained the muscle as especially where the lady dug the ultra sound head was really tender.
so I really am not sure now whether to risk the Tamoxifen or to stick with Letrozole. I think a discussion with GP is in order.

I’ve asked if I can discuss treatments with GP on the web site; our practise keeps changing contact methods! They now use a ‘Klinik’ site, first it was ‘systmonline’ then ‘Airmid’ with no notice to their patients of course! You just ‘find out’!
but anything is better than waiting on the phone for hours on end.

Leg is definitely easier thank you! Phew! I’ve continued resting with it well elevated some of the time, and wearing the pressure socks too.
just got a lovely pudding out of the oven, it’s a James Martin inspired one; puff pasty (pricked with a fork) onto an oven tray covered except for a small border, with a layer of cooking apple cooked with a bit of water and sugar, then sliced pink lady apples arranged on it, a spread of melted butter and sprinkle of sugar, baked in a fairly hot oven till edges are golden. Serve with ice cream/cream/custard!
