But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Optometry appointment all ok except the left contact lens needs replacing, so she's ordered one. She would like to replace the right one too but sods law that cataract will need doing the moment I get a new lens!
I'm advised to get a regular optician appointment soon too, as she says they check for rather more, the hospital really just checks on sight, lens requirements, fit and condition. Ah well, my podiatrist has a room in an optician so I will get them to check me over too!
Now waiting the GP call.

Got seen by an Urgent Care nurse, leg is swollen but a blood test revealed no rise in proteins for a DVT so she will contact me on Thursday to see how it is, or if I get more problems, particularly difficult breathing, to contact again. If it’s difficulty breathing it’s 999.
I suspect I won’t be starting on Tamoxifen then?!

I will, I promise! Have to say it was quite scary as when I woke in the night and it wouldn’t settle, it did worry me as I knew it could be a DVT.
I’m still not convinced, as it is tender and feels like permanent slight cramp. After the 2 miles (one each way) and a rest it was awful getting going again. She suggested I treat it as if it is a bad muscle strain for the time being. I’ve done that in the past and it doesn’t feel the same. It all began with what felt like a deep bruise, but I hadn’t bumped it .....Ah well, time will tell.

I had a concern a few year back with deep pain in calf was sent for ultra sound was told it was start of varicose vein !!
I had similar in the other calf (scans weren’t around then) years ago and GP told me it was varicose vein, oh joy! So I’ve been wearing the lovely stockings on both legs, last night was a bit easier so I did sleep a bit better.
getting older is sometimes quite a pain!
