But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Silverberg.......Beware the storms are on their way! The first one has just passed through us with a whirlwind as it's advance.
My advice to you all.....pack up your garden chairs and any pots that will blow. It caught me out this morning! Normally I am better organised.
Morning
Where are you? It is beautiful here and it was a much cooler night. I haven't actually put the thicker quilt away but managed under the tissue one.
I'm going into Bradford tonight with my friend Annilla for an authentic curry. I'm considering taking a bath towel. I think the sweat worms will be out in force. Lol
Stay safe everyone.
Wow, Silverberg,
cooler? I’m sat with fans going again, I’m in northern Buckinghamshire, far from the coast and the joy of possible coastal breezes, far from hills and the joy of reduced temps the higher one is, so middle England and humid! Off to nearer the coast (but not that near!)

Grandaughter said commute from Caversham to Notting Hill was horrific .
x
I might get one of those cute Japanese ones for when the weather changes.
That's a long commute! Does she do that every day?
Yes everyday commute was working at Primark H/o in Reading , had been with them here in North east whilst at college .
They really good with students so every time she moved with uni or internships she just kept working weekends for them. After graduation she did a year helping to open new stores .Then a role came up in their H/o that suited her design degree . Unfortunately they have decided all design and technologist side is to move to Dublin .
Too expensive to live there so has moved Monsoon H/o in Notting Hill . Only just moved to new flat from house share so stuck with commute for now .
She only 25 so coping at min and loves the flat next to Thames rather than town house in Reading .
Perhaps we should set up a mask making and selling business or the macmillan crafty people could make them along side the underarm and chemo cushions .
hope all good x
28-29 here with that awful pre storm heavy feeling xx
