But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Thank you dear AnnJac, yes we go Tuesday and will be back the following Monday, the day itself is Friday. It seems odd to think in a week we will have been married 50 years! Already got 2 cards and a bottle of bubbly!

Hi moomy ...hope you have everything sorted for trip,..knickers check? Sure you will have a fab celebration.
Ooh I think I may have received an erroneous mention but not by you WhatHappened kuz you got it all right Yep...I used to get coach and train etc etc for a 19 hour round trip to visit my man. Then he moved back up and I was supposedly moving in to the cottage next door to him. Err probably a good thing that the 'duck and dive' landlord of that property sold it instead at the last minute.
I have now moved... precipitated by a car ramming another off the road which then took out the junction railing and the wall and front doors of mine and the adjacent property. Place needed propping up and boarding up.
So I now live in a cottage minutes walk from my man's... I am thrilled that I have a washing line and the bin can live outdoors, as for years I have had no outside space
Doh...stopping now as have acquired trademark signs that I can't delete.
! :
Take care
Hi ShimmeringUnicorn,
yes, packing will be done after I’ve got the washing done and dry! That will get done soon today....Lots of work to do over the next couple of days....but at least last night I slept well!
Cake to make today too....(no, not a posh one, just a straightforward one)
we are not allowed into the property till 4 pm so there’s no point in setting off till around midday on Tuesday.

Congratulations to you both! What a lovely way to celebrate, enjoy your time away and lots of lovely lunches! Love the ‘surprise’ planning too! HFxx
Final washing loads are already on, cake is baking, a supermarket shop beckons and then packing/ organising begins.....
i will be off line from tomorrow for almost a week; the big day is Friday! I would guess the kids still have a few surprises up their sleeves, we tried to make it quietly this time as they made a big thing of our 40th. We thought a quiet week away in a lovely venue would help, neither side can afford a lot so we’ve paid for the venue (a big Landmark Trust property to cope with all of us plus dogs) the idea being that we get out and about and help out with catering but they have decided we will spend the evenings and thus dinners back in the house. Nice decision, as it gets dark quite early now!
