But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Just didn't seem to cool down last night at all! Hope it is cooler today. Hubby gone to golf - will be a late one today so pacing myself. He has got go cart out so some time today i will go to supermarket to enjoy their air conditioning. Then will just chill inside. Getting into garden is a bit frightening without anyone in - so i don't do it. I have mastered a technique for getting out through front door so I can get on go cart so at least i can get some fresh air.
I have access to my patient recors on line so I can see that referrals all gone out and copies of recent scans been sent to neurologist. So I am trying to be patient about an appointment - only saw gp on Tuesday.
Keep cool everyone. Hope you are all ok.
Oh AnnJac,
i hope hubs realises soon that he needs to reduce that golf a bit to be there for you?
its a lot cooler here, we’ve had some rain in the night and it’s looking grey out there now, but apart from one distant rumble, no thunder.
Been to the hairdresser for a trim and blow dry, feeling better.....
now sat with my book and a coffee with second load of washing going.
Another salad tonight? Maybe (though hubs isn’t keen!)

I sent and stood outside in the rain last night. Git soaking wet, and it was the best I've felt all week!
I'm so sorry you have to negotiate such dangerous routes alone . Do take care, but you cannot stay in all the time, it would be so distressing xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
I’m jealous, Seaspirit, it’s really not rained a lot here, just sprinkles; but tomorrow’s forecast looks wet all day. The garden really needs it, and we will be out anyway, demo-ing Enigma and the Bombe.
Like Seaspirit, I too feel for you AnnJac, you need to get out but it’s a tortuous journey to do so, it seems, and you can’t leave the go-kart outside if it’s wet!

When I got back I managed to get go cart in garage. I was VERY careful. Sparkling water still in basket - that was a strong too far.
When i was out i went past hairdresser who did my number 5 when hair started to fall and noticed there was a ramp. Parked up and went in on my two sticks and i now have an appointment for highlights on Tuesday. She still uses the cap method for short hair. Mine still too short for foils. Just trying to make the grey a bit more exciting. So toning with different gray or silver- hopefully will brighten up s bit.
A hair appointment always makes you feel good, so glad that you’ve managed it AnnJac!
just had a call from daughter, it seems our now 6 month old Grandpup Henry will be staying for a week, from tomorrow morning, so I need to zoom out first thing and sweep up all the olive leaves and any other detritus as he’s a bit like a Hoover!

Morning moomy
Doh good luck. We finally got the thunder yesterday and my dog is always so traumatised. I have worked on this over the years but anything that might be thunder or fireworks is a trigger and guess what?
It is also the weekend of our huge airshow so jets were roaring across the sky yesterday too oh yeah and they always have a firework display too!!!
We usually try to get him tired out with lots of exercise which helps but of course he recently had cruciate (knee) problem which means no exercise at all... so we are compromising on 'some' as he is such an active dog.
Good luck with your puppy hoover.
Take care
