But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Moomy I applaud you for so much walking. Puts me to shame but I did go bonkers on my stationery bike and did 14 km last week. I’ve put my surgery on hold. Having an injection in my foot instead which has been an issue before cancer! I hope you get over the pollens xxx
That dog (if I’m left in charge of him on my own) needs a good walk once a day plus two other short walks too as he won’t use the garden for anything else but a wee! So walks are a must! But I do try and do a mile each day if I possibly can even when I’ve not got him.
an exercise bike is great too Jgau

Hi Jgau
A fellow stationary biker!
I'm not much for walking as I have osteoarthritis in my foot. Just recently got back on the bike. Managing a 5k ride. Have to start slow as I also have a heart condition, but starting to extend the ride by a few minutes every few days.
Started chemo, so the last couple of days I haven't been on the bike, but hoping to go on it later.
Hope you have a good day!

I braved meeting up with our local breast cancer group this afternoon, they are called ‘bosom pals’ and they are a lovely lot of ladies. John Lewis sponsors them for a free drink and cake once a month which is thoughtful.
I went in by bus as there were a few things I wanted (and actually spent a £50 voucher present too, in John Lewis!) and got some ‘dream cream’ as well as a couple of plain tee’s from M&S while there. The dream cream is excellent for my deep massages for radiotherapy tightness too.

I didn’t sleep well last night but had several naps during the day today and am feeling the benefit now.
Wont be going to choir tomorrow, will Zoom instead, but hopefully that’ll be the last time I need to miss stuff due to this cold and (now) cough. Hopefully I can deal with the cough with extra inhalers as I normally up them with a cold/cough.
I did pop out to our local ‘middle of’ store today and got some nice fresh fruit. Plus the detergent I wanted too.
