But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Hi moomy I got referred for the tightness and saw someone yesterday. She emphasised the importance of massaging into the armpit area to move any fluid there - might help you too? In case you ever need a different cream, she recommended aveeno skin relief oil. x
Yes, I’m massaging twice a day for 5 minutes at a time, as suggested. It’s showing signs of easing but I think it’s a long old battle.
The hernia is a new problem and although it’s not urgent I think a 6 week wait to see a GP is rather long. If it gets any worse then of course I will act. I’m supporting it if I’m coughing or sneezing much of course.
Thankfully the cold symptoms are improving, though it’s still a bit rough. Just hope I don’t lose my voice!

I managed to get a walk in before the rain began, so lovely to see blossom and wildflowers out, also the birdsong I heard was amazing and very varied. My app identified wren, blackbird, great tit, blue tit, chiff-chaff, firecrest and woodpecker!

this last especially for Violetsniff

Bit of progress today; I walked to the GP surgery and spoke to a receptionist, the May 1st appointment is for an ECG. They have no record of me phoning, about the umbilical hernia, but I’ve got a phone call booked tomorrow from an ex-physio who is referred to as their ‘musculoskeletal specialist’ who is apparently allowed to refer. Phew! I know her anyway, she’s lovely and very helpful.
It’s often really useful to speak to someone in person! I apologised for potentially giving the receptionist a hard time but said I was going to give him a hard time! He was lovely!
