Thought we might have a thread with the things that lift us. Might be a poem, a photo, a poster, whatever.
I'll kick it off with something we all need to hear occasionally.
Hugs xx
That is a great idea, Karen / toxophilite.
I have several little mottos on life, including these
Learn from the turtle - I have this on my email signature. The turtle never gets anywhere unless it sticks its neck out.
Life's too short to stuff a kumquat. I mean, seriously? (I love stuff mushrooms, so I changed it!)
Of course I can - when asked if I can do something/help someone. We say no as a reflex, sometimes, so if you can say yes, say it joyfully! The reverse of this, If you need to say no, for yourself, or for an unavoidable reason, don't feel bad about it.
And finally - there are a lot of indispensable people in the churchyard! No one ever said they wished they spent more time at work!
What a great idea. I don't have anything to share like this, but this just happened to me and made me smile.
Had appointment with my GP yesterday, first time I've seen him since he referred me to breast unit after I showed him the swelling in my breast. After we'd talked over all the s***t that's going on for me - mastectomy next Tuesday - as I got up to leave, he got out of his chair and Came towards me and I thought he was going to shake my hand, changed his mind on the way to me then gave me a hug instead. Made me feel human again somehow, does that make sense ? I know he's on my team
A hug is always good, anytime, anywho, anywhere x
Feel free to delete it if you don't think it's appropriate on this thread x
Lovely of him--makes you feel a person not a number.
I go tomorrow to see Oncologist re treatment, after that my Histology
results -- seems an odd way round, that has been my problem all
the time--changes. Think its because I have metaplastic triple negative,
