I was in a cast for about 3 weeks from what I remember. Had around 20 staples in the elbow. Cast in an L shape and arm was stuck like this until physio gradually got it straighter. Baggy wooly jumpers - I managed to stretch a few over the cast. Cutting arms off tops didnt go to plan - i cut them too short and the gap made me cold!! Perfumed wipes were handy to wash. I used the bath more than shower. Washed my hair in the sink. But if you have a sleeve great. My arm was tight in the first cast so had to go back to re-do. It was heavy in the night, v shape pillow was handy / propped up or a pillow to rest the arm alongside the body helped. I had a 7 month old at the time- tough going! But we managed!

Good morning.....and my wishes for a good 2024. Happy at times , of course, but I am not naive enough not to recognise that there will be some painful and unpleasant times ahead for some too. My wish is that all treatments and scans pass with a healthy outcome by Dec 2024. Take care of yourselves. Spend the year in a way that makes you most content. Don't dwell on what might have been but make new memories, new norms...to take you forward.
We only have one life so whether we be 97 like mum ....or a few month's like Snowys Mum 's adorable granddaughter or anything in between....let's make our New Year wish to live it to the best of own ability.

Hello everyone, and happy New Year! Not been on for some time, missed a lot. Been away for Christmas staying in a lovely cottage in N Yorks, near my son. Really enjoyed it, though it was hectic. As soon as we arrived we went to a party at his house. Danced, have not done so for many years. With my knee brace on it was pain free! We spent x as and Boxing Day there. Magnificent food, waited on. Wanted to go to Bemton Cliffs bird sanctuary, but storm Gerrit stopped that. Instead we went to Scarborough and nearly got blown off our feet and inadvertently paddled Gave them some free days to recover, and just called in to say goodbye on last day.Went home via Grassington where All Creatures as filmed. We liked the cottage so much that we have booked a week in April.
Now husband’s daughter and granddaughter are here from Australia, so we have both seen family.
Now we both have a lot of medical appts in the next 2 weeks. Back to reality!
Love to all fruitloops xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
