.
I shall be thinking of you on Thursday Dicha I hope you get your results through quickly.
So sorry to hear you were awake in the night Marley2023 I hope you manage to get some rest during the day. Is it worth talking to your BCN to see whether you could swap to another tablet.I take Letrozoke which is similar to Anastrozole. I have many side effects but night sweats is not one that affects me often. It might be you would do slightly better on one of the other meds.
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's arm Grogg To fall is bad enough but for the break to need surgery is just pure bad luck. I hope you were able to have a happy Christmas despite the accident. You were definitely fortunate to have such a swift visit to the clinic on Christmas day!
I've not read back so my apologies to anyone who is going through it at the moment and I've not mentioned. But I am always thinking about the fruit loops.
I finally got to see my grandchildren yesterday afternoon as the norovirus has gone (although I do still feel very tired).
My 6 year old grandson was still at his Daddy's when I arrived. When he got back he was so excited because my daughter and fiance had made up his new marble run ready. My grandson had asked his Daddy if he would get him the marble run for Christmas but his Daddy said no as he had to buy things for his new baby due with his gf in March. So my grandson bought it himself with his Christmas and birthday money. My grandson spent the rest of the time I was round, playing with the marble run.
Hope it goes well for you. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Mammogram done, ouchy ouchy, then told to wait till doctor read it. After an hour called to say I could go, my doctor would give me results. Appointment with my GP on 10th and then oncology on 22nd. I guess as no ultrasound or anything required that is good news. Might treat myself to a few glasses of cava tonight for the bells x
Here’s to a happy and healthy new year to all x
Morning Marley2023 I hope you finally got some sleep?
Radiotherapy for me was much easier than I'd built it up in my mind. Once you get into the routine each session is over and done with very quickly. I had 19 sessions of radiotherapy and after about the 7th one I saw redness in my armpit and under the breast. All perfectly normal, but I was worried at the time! I slathered pure aloe vera all over the treated area and breast 3x a day and used blue Nivea cream to moisturise in between.
By the end of the 19 sessions my armpit had a lovely shade of purple skin, wasn't sore though, but I had very soft and well moisturised boobs!!
I was originally put on Letrozole hot flushes, night sweats and painful joints made my life miserable. The sweats were every hour during the day, and at night I was barely sleeping. I asked if it was possible to change the medication and the oncologist put me on Tamoxifen. Almost immediately the painful joints stopped. I still get the occasional sweat, but nothing like it was before. See how you go with Anastrazole, but don't be afraid to ask for a change in meds. They affect different people indifferent ways
Take care
Sally
Ochno phew so far so good eh? I see oncologist on 11th for mammogram results. I shall be a bit like a cat on a hot tin roof until after that date!
Happy New Year ( Feliz ano nuevo) to you and yours. Happy New year to everyone. Let's hope 2024 brings us all happiness and above all a healthy year!
Sally
Thank you. The sweats aren't every night thankfully, but so rough when it happens. Just hope they don't get worse when I do start Anastrazole.
I also have blue Nivea, much prefer the smell so I think I might go with that.
Thanks for the pointer to moisturise both boobs. Xxx
Thank you. I did back to sleep until 9.30, and managed an hour this afternoon. Lovely.
I havent started Anastrazole yet but been off HRT since wide excision. I have to say I am nervous about starting it as I already have osteoporosis fractured ankle 5 years ago and bilateral fractured pelvis earlier this year. But I guess it is necessary to keep the boobs under control.
Also had unrelated thyroid cancer. Out of my 2 sisters I've certainly been the unlucky one. All I can say is I've taken it for the team, love them to bits.
Anyway happy new year and here's hoping for a great night sleep xxx

Ninsim can I ask about elbow surgery. Are you in a cast afterwards. Can't find anything on line aside from you start physio asap. Just trying to prepare what's needed post surgery as we've assumed cast. We have a limbo cast cover which we've been using so she can shower. For 2 days we used the leg one from when I broke my ankle but have arm one now. Such a clever product.
