Hi just wondering if anyone can suggest a lubricant that can help with painful intercourse after breastcancer and ovary removal. I'm on letrozole and have been given dilators but really struggling.
Morning
I had a quick look around the Womb Group as a lot of the ladies there struggle post pelvic radiotherapy with similar issues.
Seems they mention Sylk and products from the 'Yes' range getting the most positive recommendations.
You can get a free sample bottle of Sylk using this link. The ladies in the womb group get sylk prescribed as it is a bit pricey, but Yes, is available through Amazon etc and is cheaper.
As for the dilators most ladies find them a bit too clinical and check out other alternatives at 'ahem!' LoveHoney instead :)
Hope this helps a bit, G n' J
Thanks for the reply. I will pop to the Dr's and see if I can get some on prescription. Well never visited that site before but certainly worth a try
Hi Chockie
You can get this on prescription as I went to the drs for the same thing yesterday so definately saves you money going via the drs.
Good luck.

Hi Chockie
I too have read the blog that Pepsicat refers to and found it very interesting and sums up exactly how things are following cancer treatment.
Here is a link to the blog - I hope it works

Hi-I`ve been using coconut oil as it is completely natural and so has no side effects and it smells nice! Also omega 7 in the form of sea buckthorn capsules are very good for dryness in that department. Hope it helps-Jo x
I got a NHS prescription for YES at the doctors last week. She was more than happy to give it to me as it us water based and has no nasties in it. Love joycev
I know this is an older thread, but there's a new vaginal moisturiser which has become available since the last post (I think). It's called OVIO replenish. Not on prescription but you can get it on the website or Amazon. https://ovio-collection.com/ovio-replenish/
H&B do a water based one as opposed to oil. It’s much kinder if you susceptible to urinary infections
