Hi all, do any of you use Jude, the supplement to help with bladder control?
I could ask my CNS. Just recently been peeing too many times at night and you never get a good night's sleep.
I have now had 24 Bcg treatments so this must take its toll on the bladder, cannot wait to finish all 27 this October, been a long time. Still if its doing the job will finish the three year course, through gritted teeth.
I still find it strange that trust's do things differently. I'm sure it makes sense to someone....
I've read that some hospital's have lowered the requirements to 18 BCG instillations, so I'm glad I've got to at least 18, but will probably try again.
Think I would prefer the Flexi camera, if I'm honest. I'm sure they have their reasons for knocking me out every 3 Month's..... Probably to keep me quiet as I do waffle quite a bit for sure.
Thanks for the good luck and I'll ask about Jude supplements. I have tried d-mannose which didn't really help.
Take care.
Trevor
Yes I always have a flexi, never been put out for the camera, only the very first biopsy after induction bcg. Strange isn't it how they all do different.
Yes I have been seeing on here some talk of just having 18 bcg. I wish it was 18. I almost feel well just three more can I do it? It is just these after effects. I am sure it will ease over the next week or so.
Hi BFG and Bumblebee, I think many hospitals have reduced number of BCG doses. It's because the BCG causes such dramatic inflammation in the bladder, and I certainly did have that. Cystoscopies for about a year after I had finished were still looking like the whole of my bladder had been scratched with a pan scourer! I was given the choice to stop at 18 but soldiered on for the full Lamm protocol of 27 doses because of my annual reoccurrences. I discussed my choice to continue with my CNS and she agreed with the decision. Now I've been clear for 4 years it feels that it was worth it. Hx
Hi Hero,
That's great news you managed all 27, and that you've been clear for 4 year's. Very encouraging. I do want to continue, just hit a blip I guess.
I assume the urgency and frequency are due to the inflammation.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi BB,
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to ask my surgeon today. I only saw him in the recovery room and was a bit drowsy. He used to pop around afterwards when I'm back on the ward, but didn't this time.
I did ask the ward nurse but she didn't know.
I'll have a meeting in a couple of weeks to discuss the results, so will try to remember to ask then.
Will keep you posted.
Trevor
That is heartwarming Herothedog, I am so pleased for you. At my next camera I will ask the doctor their views on pushing through with the last three.
May your good fortune continue and it was worth all the trouble x
