Hi all, do any of you use Jude, the supplement to help with bladder control?
I could ask my CNS. Just recently been peeing too many times at night and you never get a good night's sleep.
I have now had 24 Bcg treatments so this must take its toll on the bladder, cannot wait to finish all 27 this October, been a long time. Still if its doing the job will finish the three year course, through gritted teeth.
Hi BB ,
Hope you are well.
After my 18th BCG, I've been having the same symptoms. Normally I was okay after a couple of days. I still got urgency but went through the night most nights.
However since number 18 I've been having more urgency and have been getting up two or three time's a night which has been very tiring for sure.
I mentioned this to my consultant, couple of urine Tests (no UTI) and was prescribed 28 tablets of Veriscare, not sure if these are the same as Jude, but will look into.
However tablets had no effect unfortunately.
Congrats on getting to 24 that's amazing. At the moment I'm not sure if doing anymore is something I want to go through. My consultant mentioned about reducing the BCG dose, so that might be an option.
I hope things improve for you soon.
Trevor
I've just been looking at Jude, so not the same as my prescribed medication.
Does sound interesting though. I have my quarterly biopsy this Friday and will ask my consultant.
Although I think my issue is that my bladder is inflamed so reduces the amount I can retain. I drink a lot of water/ barley water during the day so I expect to wee more..... Just not so blinking often.
In my mind I have inflammation and chemical cystitis, but will know more after Friday.
Thanks for bringing Jude to my attention.
I'm definitely with you in that I can't wait to get this BCG done and dusted.
Take care.
Trevor
Thanks Trevor, I am too wondering if I could leave the last three but as I never see a consultant I suppose would have to check this out. Thanks for the update though, glad you have managed 18. It's a bloody achievement isn't it.
Totally agree. Has it kept the cancer at bay though, no reoccurances? If so that is brilliant isn't it. Got my next camera in June fingers crossed as usual.
Hi Bumblebee49, only 3 more to go. Well done you! I did the full 27 doses and it wasn't till the last dose that all the cancer cleared (previously I'd had a reoccurrence every year) and since the 2021 all clear...hooray! So it's definitely been worth the long haul of treatment. I get up at least 3 times a night, it is a pest but better than getting another tumour. I've not heard of Jude so be interested for feedback. Sending love Hx
Wow BB 24 , thats brilliant, well done you. Sounds like its affecting your quality of sleep though, which is not good. getting up 3 or 4 times a night reminds me of being a new mum ( my son woke every 3 hours for 2 years) I remember saying to mr halofan that they used to use this technique for torture during the war , sleep deprivation. Its hard BB. Hope you can get something sorted xx
Much love Angela x
Hi BB,
No reoccurrence so far (touch wood) so does appear to be working thankfully.
My next batch of BCGs will be in August/ September so I'm hoping to be fully recovered (well back to how I was before the last batch).
I hope things get better for you soon.
I'll think I'll try this Jude, but will just double check.
Do you not get your results from the surgeon/consultant etc.. I might have used the wrong terminology there.
Best of luck for June.
Trevor
Lovely to hear from you Herothedog, yes I have almost done it and I remember you from the beginning of my journey on here, I used to read all your responses. So glad you have had the all clear since 2021, it was definitely worth the slog. Yes I mean everyone seems to get up at least twice without the bladder issues we have had. It might calm down a bit soon.
It's pumpkin seeds in Jude and I have seen a lot of advertising on it, it's sold in Boots I think. May look into it a bit more and check with hospital.
Anyway you take care my dear and all the best x
Brilliant no reoccurances. Yes the doctor who does the camera is the only doctor I ever see, they tend to change each time. I have a very supportive CNS if I need to contact anyone. When you have the camera they give you the all clear or not straight away, which is good but always stressful and anxiety fueling.
Thanks for the best of luck for June, it's everything crossed.
Good luck for august/sept bcg, s.
