HI EVERYONE, I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT THE CRITERIA FOR HAVING TO ISOLATE FOR 12 WEEKS IS. I WAS DIAGNOSED SEPTEMBER 2018 WITH G2 P TA, HAD MITOMYCIN COURSE X 6 AFTER TURBT, THEN BCG 6+3+3 LAST YEAR, THE LAST DOSE BEING IN DECEMBER, 4 MONTHS AGO, BEING THAT LONG AGO I WAS SURPRISED TO GET THE LETTER TELLING ME TO ISOLATE FOR 12 WEEKS. MY NEXT BCG WAS DUE IN JUNE AS I'M ON A 2 YEAR MAINTENANCE COURSE WHICH HAS BEEN CANCELLED, DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW THEY WORK OUT WHO SHOULD ISOLATE.

  • Hi Homeboy, think they just sent out blanket letters to everyone, seems its rather a grey area as I was told. My last BCG was right at the start of March so I can understand your confusion.  But you are not alone in that!!! Maybe in time they will sort through and tweak it but who knows as things stand at the present time. Just try to hold on to your sanity for the moment. Take care.

  • Again not sure, my BCG finished 2014 and I still got a letter, I tried logging onto the website but it was having non of it as  I couldn’t match up to any of the illness, so asked the doctor and waiting for a reply. X
