Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hi Denby,The only blessing to mum’s poor mobility when she first got dementia is that she couldn’t wander off.My sister and I were talking about that and saying that mum would have gone walk about for certain. What a worry for you both with your sister in law.Sarah & I are trying to think of mum before dementia when she was still mum.One of the nurses sent Sarah a photo of mum that they took when she first went into the home. That was almost a year ago and she looked frail but was still a good weight.Love Jane x
Hi,Mum is still clinging on to life but it won’t be long now.I wanted to send my best wishes to Coojee and Kidneybeen for their cystectomies.I hope everything goes well for you both.Best wishes to anyone facing tests and procedures.Sometimes it’s hard to keep track on here.Love to you all Jane xx
Thank you Jane, tomorrow is the day, hopefully it won't be cancelled again. I will let you know how it's gone, once I'm out the other side. Once again I will be recovering from surgery, with no visitors allowed. So it's going to be quite hard on my loving wife. At least got smart phones so can do video calls to keep in touch. Sorry to hear about your mother, I wish that you have peace and solace, when the time comes to say a final goodbye.
I’ll keep everything crossed it all goes ahead and with no complications.I was allowed to use my phone in intensive care and surprisingly the messages I sent were coherent.Once I got onto the ward my phone worked for only a short while as there was a hiccup with the wi fi code.As I was over 40 miles from home I had no visitors apart from my sister on one occasion. She got lost on the way and arrived shortly before the end of visiting.Best wishes Jane
Hi KidneyBeen
I hope all goes well tomorrow
Love Inanna x
