Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Good morning Jane.
Not too bad here today but we are forecast rain later. Busy few days here....its hubby's 50th birthday weekend, we should hopefully have all 6 kids and the grandchildren and our parents coming tonight for a games night.
Had yesterday off work to rest because its been such a busy week and I found myself baking at 7am, what's that all about. Ha ha
Started the new medication for my bladder last Friday, the continence nurses think that all my issues have come about because the tumour was at the bottom of my bladder where the nerves are. Anyway, I can now leave the house without worrying about wetting myself. I went to a psychic night on Monday and stopped out until 1am....I managed to drive for over an hour without having to stop for a toilet. Looks like I might finally be getting some normality back.
Anyway.....I have attached a photo of one of hubby's birthday cakes.
Enjoy your time out in the garden today.
Sending love to all

Hi Clare,What a fab cake, you are talented.Happy birthday to hubby,I hope you have a great weekend. It sounds fun.I’ve been pottering outside. This time last week I was lying flat in hospital and not allowed to walk. It’s been a strange emotional week.I’m happy to be outside with the blackbird and Robin for company.Love Jane xx
Lovely picture Jane. Rain but no wind today in Walton Le Dale. We had our booster jabs weeks ago. No I’ll effects at all. Good luck with yours. Our daughter who is 45 and has had both of her Covid injections has caught Covid (delta) It’s beginning to look a lot like last last Christmas ie cannot see our Daughter and Husband and two grandchildren for 10 days. We took a lateral flow test- clear thank goodness. Stay safe Garviv

Hi Jane. Thank you. I made him thr chocolate cake and he said he fancies lemon this year, so he now has two. One for tonight and one for his actual birthday on Monday.
Sorry to hear you've been in hospital. Hope everything is okay now. Sending hugs.
Love to all

Hi Jane, now take care with your back please? After your hospital experience I reckon you should still have your feet up. When will you see Spinal team? I had my booster jab two weeks ago, Pfizer, no reaction whatsoever. It wasn't easy to get a local booking, took me a week of logging in 3 times a day. Very grateful to have had it. x
Hi Clare,I used to make lemon drizzle cake quite a lot.Your cakes look so delicious. The physio I saw at the health centre liased with the hospital and they ordered an ambulance to take me in last Friday.I had an urgent MRI scan of my spine. That has shown spinal cord compression in my neck and nerve root compression in the lower back.Thankfully it’s all due to osteoarthritis and not cancer.Love Jane xx
Hi H,The hospital liased with the spinal team but they didn’t see me.They didn’t suggest surgery and I have no follow up.I have exercises and dr at hospital has suggested hydrotherapy. It’s a bit of blow to be honest as I’ll have to get used to it.Mum has spinal compression,it was too dangerous to operate and she hasn’t been able to walk at all for the past year. The one good thing is that it is not cancer which was what I feared.I need to have a chat with my sister about the future.I love this house and garden but realistically I don’t think I will be able to manage it without help.I’m resting now with my feet up and a cup of tea.Love Jane xx
