Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hi Jacaranda07, pleased to hear that feedback from your surgeon sounds so positive. Obviously biopsy results are the real confirmation but in my experience the surgeon's eye has been totally accurate. Hope your comfort and frequency remains improved and you can relax and enjoy your life. If bladder cancer has taught me anything it is to cherish every healthy day. Best wishes H x
Hi Jane, another day of hot sunshine on edge of exmoor but my garden is starting to look like a desert. No way I could be out working in it without getting fried. Even the local farmers who were loving the earlier dry weather for hay making, are getting anxious now as no rain means no grass, so feeding animals on rations meant for winter. I reckon this is the driest summer I've known over past 20 years here. Mad thing is it was the wettest winter! Hope you managed the tip run with your sister? Hx
Hi H,The ground is parched here too,it looks like 1976 again.I didn’t go to the tip as I wasn’t feeling good and there was going to be a 17 mile diversion each way.I contacted another house clearance firm ( didn’t hear back from the first) and they are coming over on Thursday. At least they will be taking some unwanted furniture and much more.I’m hoping a clearer house might help me mentally.I miss mum so much it’s hard emotionally. My to do list is turning into a novel there is so much to sort ! Love Jane x
Thank you for your kind thoughts. Yes you're right, appreciate every day as it comes. I'm hoping to do a bit more exercise if I'm feeling that bit better, trouble is this very warm weather doesn't help too much in that field.
Well folks, after all this time, the wife has tested positive for Covid. We thought we had evaded it even though our kids and friends have had it at some point. She has felt under the weather for a few days thinking it was a cold. We managed to get hold of a test and lo and behold, the dreaded two red lines. She is starting to pick up now. My test was negative, but early days as we have obviously been in close contact. It just shows it is still out there, so don't be complacent and stay safe. Best wishes.
Morning Rily, Sorry to hear your wife has the dreaded Covid. It is still lurking everywhere. I agree with Jane everyone takes it for granted these days. We still put masks on when shopping or using public transport. However, we are the minority. I hope your wife recovers quickly. Stay safe Garviv

Hi rily, wishing your wife a speedy recovery. My daughter and grand daughter both had covid at separate times, months apart, and didn't catch it from each other. Despite living together and when my grand daughter was ill she frequently climbed into my daughters bed. At least the latest variant doesn't seem to be too bad and I guess it will give your wife extra anti-bodies for future protection love H x
