Last years treatmwnt went well and given all clear. when a lump appeared in my groin at Christmas i was worried. Biopsy showed cancer cells in my lymph node.
Had an mri scan yesterday so when I see the oncologist this Thursday for a more accurate diagnosis i will be better informed but i am now scared.
This was my fear, that it would pop up again and be more serious.

Hi Louise, so glad that its all coming together and you will start chemoradiation soon. I really dont like to give advice re medication whatsoever as we are all unique and our bodies can react in different ways. Just wear the softest loosest clothing possible and generally top level hygiene is obvious and a must. Sorry if thats a bit useless.
My chemo was taken orally and for me I had slight sickness initially but this settled after anti sickness meds.
Follow all advice but trust your instinct. Hope this helps

Hi KitKat, it’s shocking how long it takes for the results, do you have a contact number to call someone and say your concerns to tell them the delays are really making you unwell.
It makes me so upset to think your having to deal with all of this. Xxxxx love Louise
Hi louise. Plse focus on you right now, dont go worrying about me or things you have no control over. I certainly dont want you upset on my behalf.
Are you just waiting to start treatment now?
Yes, i have a specialist nurse called Sarah who is lovely. She is chasing up my results...along with everyone else's no doubt . Although not always available she will call me back and its good to know that i can update her on any issues esp medical that maybe useful for the team to know.
Its this bloody backlog! brought about not just by this pandemic. Affecting so many, cancer or no cancer.
Hi ,
Can I just say it’s good to hear that you have a reliable specialist nurse, she will be invaluable to you during this process especially with things like chasing up results etc. A reliable point of contact is so important especially with the way things have been regarding delays due to the pandemic! I’m praying that you get your results soon & that it’s good news.
Nicola
