has anyone had chemo WITHOUT any side effects
Hi svh i had one mitomycin infusion on day 1 of treatment and 5.5 weeks of capacetabine tablets ( with the weekends off). Although I felt nauseous during the first week, I wasn’t sick. Apart from that I had no side effects at all. The other chemo regime in the UK is chemo administered via a chemo pump in weeks one and five. This tends to produce more side effects. There are plenty of medications to counter any side effects. Bev.
I had very few side effects from the chemo. Most mine were a result of radiotherapy
Hi svh, I had the same chemo treatment as Bev 1in1500 & had no noticeable side effects at all. It did make for a long first day of treatment as at UCLH the chemo & radiotherapy happen in different departments.
With hindsight, all that worrying about chemo was for nothing! though my skin did react to the radiotherapy & was painful for about 3 weeks after treatment finished. Good luck! Toni
