Diagnosed with T2-T3 (5cm tumour) anal cancer with no spread to lymph nodes or further metastasis in July this year.
Last week started 5.5 weeks of treatment including an infusion of Mitomycin, 28 session of radiotherapy along with Capecitabine oral chemo each day.
By day 4, was having chest pains and was admitted to Coronary Care, ECGs showing potential vasospasms which the doctors put down to the Capecitabine drug. Have now been taken off of this and continuing radiation treatment, having had the Mitomycin on day 1.
I am wondering if anyone has any experience of treating this type of cancer with radiotherapy alone or radiotherapy with mitomycin (a bit specific, I know!) and what their journey looked/ looks like?
