Prostate removal or Radiotherapy?

Hi All

I recently had a template biopsy after which my Gleason score moved up from 3/3 to 3/4 with my PSA also increasing to 6.51 from 5.8. I have just turned 61 and need to decide on next course of action fairly quickly. The Urology doctor suggested removal may be best option indicating age being a factor for this choice. My initial thoughts were to go for Hormone/Radiotherapy as side effects don't seem as severe and if this did not do the trick then  removal would be the next step. I know that this is a decision I need to make myself and i am quite confused on what to do as both options have a similar success rate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
