Hi ,

I am an Indian boy and was working in London from 2018 to 2020 on work visa.

I was with multiple bank supports and was good.

But later when corona lockdown came, I was working from home then I got hospitalized as I fell sick. Finally it is found to be brain tumor and they did the operation in two days.

I woke up nicely and then it was a cancer too. I didn't cry with brain tumor operation but when I get to know about cancer I cried a bit and I was away from my family too.

Now I came back to India with my family my radiotherapy is also finished. Now it's completely fine.

But it's good to talk about this with people and get to know about deseases is always helpful.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to read about your brain tumour. It must have been very difficult for you to deal with this while you lived a long way away from your family.

As the community is divided up into different groups, I'm going to recommend a few for you to think about joining. We have various groups which cover brain tumours so I'm going to list them and you can choose whichever one is appropriate for you:

    Low-grade brain tumours

    Brain tumours

    Glioblastoma multiforme brain tumours

Whichever one you join you can ask questions, share experiences and get support. You might also be interested in joining and posting in the living with cancer outside the UK group.

To join any of these groups just click on the links I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'. To save you typing this out just copy and paste it into a new post there.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you need any help finding your way around the community just give me a shout.
