Kidney Cancer, my tormentor!

Hi, this is my story so far. In June 2018 I had a suspected gallstone as I had a pain in my side. After receiving an ultrasound scan, I was diagnosed with Renal Cell Cancer. A partial Nephrectomy was carried out in November 2018. After having 4 CT scans showing I was clear of cancer, the sore side came back and in May this year a further scan showed cancer covering the remainder of my kidney, a tumour behind it and another in a muscle at my spine. 2 weeks later I had major surgery to remove it all. In August I had a CT scan that was clear. In the second week of October the sore side was back. An urgent scan showed the Cancer was back above my liver, the muscle in my spine and lesions in my lungs. To say Im devastated would be an understatement but Im taking comfort in that I know I have a great team in the NHS that are monitoring me and acting swiftly. They said my cancer is acting unusually aggresive. I am now on immunotherapy treatment which started on Friday & hoping this is the intervention needed to keep my tormentor at bay once and for all!

I'm sorry to read that what was thought to be a gallstone turned out to be kidney cancer and that the cancer keeps recurring.
