Hello, I am 24 and worried I may have a cancerous lump to the right side of my breast on the outer side just before the soft breast tissue. I am constantly checking my breasts as my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and I have very high anxiety I will get it so I'm not sure if it's just in my head. I'm also not sure if it's a muscle or something harmless as I can't feel an exact lump more of a swelling but I can't feel the same thing on my left breast, it also feels more prominent when my arm is down and I can't really feel anything when it is raised. I am worried sick though so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hi and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about you being concerned about having breast cancer.
The first thing I would recommend is that you make an appointment with your GP as in reality they are the only ones in a position to say what this is.
Can I then highlight our various Macmillan Support Line Services on 0808 808 00 00. This service allows you to talk with someone about what you are dealing with at the moment mostly open 8.00 to 8.00 but check the link but you may find the service very busy at the moment.

Hi again Lucy, the sooner you phone and make an appointment the sooner you will get your mind set at ease..... but when you make your appointment make sure you say what is wrong as this will help get you in faster.
