hi I’m 51 ( 52 in 2 days ) have been DX with grade 2 breast cancer and told I need a mastectomy. Just waiting for an MRI to check the other breast. I’m worried that the waiting means the cancer is spreading even though the CT scan says it’s no where else. I’m brave on outside but very scared inside I have MS so already exhausted most of the time. I won’t get reconstruction at same time the Dr. said as chemo and radiotherapy needs to be finished first. My son gets married 22/2 so worried that I’ll look like a freak. Always thought it wouldn’t happen to me. X
Hi , welcome to the online community, I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but pleased that you’ve already done your profile and joined the very supportive breast cancer group. I have a different cancer metastatic melanoma which was diagnosed with no primary but already spread to my pelvic and abdominal lymph nodes, so I understand your worry about spreading, as many others in the breast group will also.
I hope you feel you can introduce yourself in the breast group.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
