Hi All,

I'm new to the community and just wanted to say hello. I was diagnosed with womb cancer in March and have undergoe surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. It has been a long road, but I have now come out the other end.

As a result of my diagnosis, I want to raise awareness of womb cancer (the fourth most common affecting women in the UK) and am writing a blog to share my experiences and information about the cancer. https://letstalkaboutcword.blogspot.com/

Hi, I'm also a Womb Cancer Survivor. It took my Gp's a year to listen to me despite having all the symptoms  !

I demanded blood tests and my ca125 was sky high .

I feel GP's need educated on Womb Cancer especially. Most dont seem to know the symptoms. I'm just glad I was persistent with them. I'm through all my treatment but have no faith in my Gp's at all now.

Hello and , welcome to the online community, you both may like to look in on the Womb Group a friendly group where people affected by that type of cancer and sometimes awaiting a possible diagnosis give each other support.

I have a different kind of cancer but every 3 months I write a personal blog on here to clear my head. If you need any help navigating your way around the site, just give me a shout by pressing the reply button, but I’m sure the womb group which you can find by clicking on the link will give you both a warm welcome.

    best wishes

    Hi Kiki,

I was lucky to have an amazing GP. As soon as I explained my symptoms she sent me to a gynaecologist. But then she was specialised in female health. I am so grateful for that.

But I totally agree about GPs needing education on womb cancer; I've heard a lot of experiences similar to yours. Hats off to you for being persistent!!
