    Hi

Welcome to the community, although I am sorry you’ve had cause to find us.  Chemo can be really tough and it is hard to cope with and accept - you’re definitely not alone in feeling the way you do and chatting with others in the same place can really help.

I am one of the community champs - volunteers who help welcome people like you and try to help you find your way round so you can meet and talk with people who really know where you’re coming from because they’ve been there. We share our experiences and support each other. You can also post questions to the Macmillan nurses and financial experts.

It would really help if you could let me know your diagnosis- that way I can point you towards the right people.

Looking forward to hearing from you

    HI Daloni,

thank you so much for your message .

I’ve been diagnosed with stage 2 invasive Her2 positive breast cancer that has spread to several lymph nodes . I have started my chemotherapy session last Monday ( 1 of 8 in total ) and I will undergo a mastectomy and lymph nodes removal after the treatment .

It would be really helpful if I can join a group for support from someone that understands what I’m going trough

    many many thanks

    Hi

thank you for sharing that information.

There are two breast cancer groups that might be good for you. Breast cancer for the under 50s and breast cancer (where there’s a monthly chemo club). You will get a warm welcome in either - or both. Follow the link and join the group by hitting the ‘Join the Group’ tab just under the main group name. At this point go to the right on the group home page and select how you want to receive email notifications when someone answers your posts.

The best way to get support is to go to the 'Start a Discussion' tab just under the main group name. Set up your own Discussion and Introduce yourself to the group.
