Diagnosed with large granulocytic Leukemia

IV just been diagnosed with large granulocytic Leukemia 3 weeks ago I'm in the dark as my GP knew nothing about it and I have been referred to the haemotologist but no appointment yet IV got so many questions and feel so alone

    Sorry to hear your news.. I had a different type of leukaemia so ha ent had any experience of large granulocytic leukaemia. Normally when there is a cancer diagnosis you are placed Ono the 2 week cancer pathway which means you should have had an appointment with the haematology team come through by now. It is worth chasing your GP surgery or the haemotlogybsecretaries at the hospital you have been referred to. 

    Then once you get an appointment you will be able ta ask lots of questions. In the meantime I would try calling the Macmillan helpline which is open from 8am to 8pm every day (number below) and they will be able to put you in touch with a medical professional who can answer your questions. 

    ‘In the meantime are there any family or friends you can talk to about how you are feeling? I often found that to talk to someone when I was diagnosed and having treatment real helped me..
