Just saying hello.

Ill drop in when I can.

  • Hi Dave  and a warm welcome to the Online Community.

I had a quick look at your profile, you have been through a lot over the years along with your wife passing away in February....... but as you say - your making the most of life - so lets look for your health to stay good.

I see you have already joined the Bereaved Spouses and partners Forum and the Friends and Family Forum. These are great places to get support and to give support to folks who have or are walk this road before you.

Just follow the links and hit the 'Start a Discussion' tab and introduce yourself to the group and remember to go to the right on the group home page and select how you want to receive email notifications when someone answers your posts.

You may also find our various Macmillan Support Line Services on 0808 808 00 00 to be helpful as you can talk to a friendly person that can help in lots of ways.

    All the best.

thanks   yes its been prett grim but im coping somehow

  • Hi again Dave, my experience is limited to parents passing on in old age, but have had a few very good friends over the past few years who did not get through their cancer fight and this did hit me hard but sitting talking with folks one on one did help me get over the survivors guilt.

Being able to talk with folks may help move this along, so the Forums are good for this and you don't have to be in the same room as the folks. But you may also want to check out these links to check out Local Macmillan Support Groups and Maggie’s Centres.

    We are always around.

    All the best.
